Q & A

A quick post tonight. I thought I’d answer a few questions and comments before I go to bed…

First of all, Basia is definitely coming to live here in Montana to be our Queen of Everything in Training. I hear from Jim and Donna that Tori has been giving her lessons and she’s an avid student. However, Basia is NOT Danica. Nor is Maxine Danica. Maxine is Sondra’s new kitten she got from McCoy’s breeder at the same time Brenda and I got McCoy. I had hoped that Danica would be in Sondra’s loving care by the end of the week (not that her breeder doesn’t love her and care for her!) but between kitten arrivals and busy schedules, I don’t think it’s going to happen until next week now. So you’ll all have to wonder for a bit longer.

Speaking of kitten arrivals… The Rockatts website has been updated with pictures of the new babies there. Check out little Eris! If Basia and Danica weren’t going to be the latest additions to the LostWoods family, I might be begging Sondra for her. :-) And in the update news, I’ve also added new pictures of the ForestKatz kittens to their site. The SassafrasKat kitten news is both sad and happy. The sad news is out of the ten babies, seven of them have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The happy news is that the three remaining kittens are gaining weight and thriving without their human mom and dad having to supplement them now. They’ve been gaining without intervention since the weekend, so it’s looking like those three little snow babies (they are all white) are going to make it. Keep them in your prayers.

And then there’s Muffet… I think I wrote down the wrong dates for when Muffet and Peanut were fooling around, as their children still haven’t arrived. I went back and looked for email between Patti and me and found one from July 16th where I was asking about Muffet’s typical behavior when she was in heat. So… her due date is this week, rather than last. Hopefully Patti will soon forgive me for causing her to get stressed worrying about why the kittens hadn’t arrived by the weekend. And I hope Muffet will end the suspense and deliver those babies soon!

One last thing… Someone asked me about the pattern of patch tabbies. Patch tabbies (or torbies) can be mackerel or classic. It is sometimes hard to see the pattern amid the colors — and even worse if there is a lot of white. But the red patches will have the same pattern as the brown and you should be able to tell what they are.

I do owe you all a post about TICA titles and I’ll get to that in the next few days. I’m not going to Colorado :-( this weekend, so I’ll be home writing, cleaning, playing with cats.

:))) Huge sheepish smile! Okay, I shall try and contain myself…I think my wegie boy has become addicted to water. He is always hiding in the bathroom tub waiting for me to turn on the faucet..He has also learnt to close the bathroom behind himself.Wow, how fast the kids learn! And he is a baby too..just shy of 7 months!!!
