New Pictures!

I have posted new pictures of Zak and Cyra to their litter page. I’ve also posted pictures of Lelldorin, Ce’Nedra, Taiba, and Polgara to their individual pages. And a new picture of Fin is on the Cats page. I’ll post a silly picture here of Shira and Zak. Shira has decided she likes kittens and is playing mom to everyone. The kittens really like this as their own mothers are having nothing to do with them now.

Shira & Zakath

The last couple days have been cool and windy. Fall is in the air here in Helena, MT. For the first time in weeks, the sky was not filled with smoke today. We can still smell it, but it’s no longer like we’re sitting around a campfire. We had a little rain last night. Maybe someday our fires will be out.

When I was talking about cat trees the other day, I forgot to mention some fun cat furniture that I’ve seen at Target. It’s not big like cat trees — it’s made from PVC pipe and fabric, but it has perches and tunnels for the cats. I put a donut bed on the top of the one I have and my big cats like sleeping on it. The little cats love climbing and playing all over it. There are several different items — and I suspect with a little creativity you could join them together into a fun cat playground. I may just have to buy a couple more and try it. :-)

Awww.They look so cute together.Ms.Lisa, There is a little mistake in the sassafraskat website. One of the pictures for a kitten named Tewkey is actually the picture of another kitten Tinney at 8 weeks of age. I remember you saying that you were helping them put up their website,so I thought you ought to know.

There is going to be a CFA licensed show called The National Capital Cat Show in Washington D.C on Sept 8-9. Will you attending by any chance? I shall love to meet you there!

Hi Lisa! I know you have gone to many cat shows and I have a question for you. When you go where do you stay? Hotel? Motel? We left on vacation on the 1st of August and have been having a hard time finding pet friendly places to stay. In fact we have ended up staying most nights when not with family at Motel 6. Tonight for example we are in Reno, Nevada and ended up in another Motel 6. We were so hoping to find a hotel with something to do in the lobby or very close but ended up here just because Licorice can be with us.

I won’t be at National Capital. Too far away and with Fin being a naked boy, I can’t justify spending so much money to attend a show where he’ll get no points. However, National Capital is one of the biggest shows in the country and usually draws a lot of the best cats competing in a given year. It’s a great opportunity to see some outstanding cats of all breeds. And I think they do a great job of bringing in good vendors. Perfect for shopping for a cat tree, finding new toys for the babies, getting new cat food, and picking up some cat-themed clothes for yourself.
