Lisa,
I have found fanciershealth group on Yahoo! very informative. While it is a lot about breeding related queries,it is an interesting read.Thank you for the suggestion.
I have a couple of cat trees I got from armarkat.com as recommended by my ragdoll breeder. They are reasonably priced and we can choose based on the load it can support.I have one that can support 40lbs,for 2 cats that will definitely be 15lbs each when they are grown up...I have had them for 6 months now,and they are looking good. The kittens only scratch on their trees and never on the furniture!

Thanks for the info. I've never been to a show as I live in the boonies (about 2.5 hours north of Atlanta) but I've been wanting to check one out soon.

I have a few small (3 feet tall) cat trees, but the only big ones I've ever bought are the floor-to-ceiling ones since they seem to be a bit more stable. My cats like to chase each other up and down the trees in the early morning hours, and the combination of over 25 pounds moving that fast sometimes makes me worry even about the ones that are anchored to the ceiling! I'm kind of afraid to buy a 5 or 6 foot tall free-standing tree for fear it will fall over and pin a kitty underneath. Ever had them fall?

Sally, Cozy Cat Furniture.com has some nice cat tree's. They are very reasonably priced (compared to what I've found) and the shipping is free! :) I was worried about the stability and tipping over so I picked one with a very wide and sturdy base. 28" x 24" and holds 60lbs max weight. We've got 5 wegie babies; Cate and Konner are 8 and 1/2 months old, Dexie Miranda and Miss Evangeline are 7 months old and Hudson is just a baby, 14 weeks. As you can image the chase is on! always! at our house and the tree has been very stable. Never falled over or even tipped! Also it's got some ramps between levels so Hudson doesn't feel left out! :)
