Running Late

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. We had a lovely thunderstorm with rain last night that cooled it down to about 60, so I was really enjoying the cooler weather for sleeping. With the forecast predicting a possible record setting high of 105 today, that might be the only time today I’m actually comfortable!

So a quick story before I go to my first meeting of the day. I woke up about 11:30 last night with the wind blowing rain drops through the open window onto my face. Keegan was snuggled up beside me. She’s such a love bug! I was lying there thinking that I should move away from the rain — it wasn’t that much, but who can sleep with rain in their face? But I didn’t want to disturb Keegan. About then, she stood up and stretched, so I took advantage of her moving to change positions myself. But as I turned over and went to position my head on my pillow, I discovered that my four pound girl had decided to take over three quarters of my king-sized pillow! She’d left almost no room for me. I moved her tail aside and put my head down beside her.

So I guess this further marks me as a crazy cat lady — I won’t disturb a sleeping cat even when I’m getting rained on. I let my cats take over my pillow without complaint – a whispered word about what a brat she is maybe, but no real complaint.

On the subject of crazy cat ladies, my daughter sent me this link to a great selection of crazy cat lady stuff on Cafepress.

Some of it is pretty tempting. :-) And on the subject of Cafepress, I’ve been thinking about setting up a “store” there with some of my photos on t-shirts, mugs, etc. Anyone interested?

Off to my meeting now.

I would be interested in a T-shirt with a colorful bunch of cats and kittens
I have to come love.I am not allowed to get anymore cat paraphernalia but I might be able to sneak one in:)))
Michelle,I think you are right. I think it is Talia too. At first I thought it could be Shadow but I am guessing this is where the babies have their food with their mommies.

Yes, that’s Talia walking between the groups. She’d been at one dish and decided to see if the food in the other was better. :-) Kali is eating at the same plate as Fin in the bottom of the picture. The Leprechauns, the BBs and the MBs are all in the picture somewhere.

Peanut (Shadow) lives in the stud room with his girlfriend. Once Muffet goes home, I’ll alternate companions out there so he has some company. Once Muffet has her babies, Peanut will be neutered and I’m hoping he’ll quit spraying so he can have run of the house, too.

I don’t know why the cats will sometimes insist on eating out of the same dish even when another is available. Shira always tries the food in every dish when I fill them, even though the food is exactly same in each. Maybe your cats are just thinking the grass is greener on the other side of the fence — what the other one is eating must be better, so I shall eat it, too! :-)

Oh.So that’s what it is. I was worried that they weren’t eating enough ,what with the sharing and all. Poor Peanut! When do they start Spraying I wonder? I have an almost 5 month old Wegie who will be neutered when he turns 6 months of age. I hope he doesn’t start before then:))
So? Well? Are you going to tell us about the exciting news that is supposed to happen today?

I know you have millions of pictures tucked away somewhere that most of us haven’t seen, because a lot of the ones you send to the email groups (or whatever they’re called) don’t show up on the webpage, and I know you take tons! I’d buy stuff with cute kitties on them, but I do have one suggestion: I hate it when you see a mug or shirt that is obviously an iron-on/unprofessional job, like when the image on a shirt is square/rectangular on a white t-shirt. I hate white t-shirts and I don’t want to wear a square on my chest! If you can cut out the kitty/kitties or use a tye-dyed shirt or something like that it looks so much better.

Mousepads are cute too. And tote bags!

When my brother and I were younger my mom would take a bite of everything we were fed, even if she had the same thing. She was making sure the temp was right and the food was good. Maybe Talia is just checking to make sure the food meets her approval!?!! Funny thing is, she still smells every bite she takes, before she takes it, and when on vacation there if she cooks for my son she will taste his haha!
