Last summer we got a scare when Beau escaped and disappeared for nearly a week. It was a sad and frightening time, especially for Brenda. When he finally reappeared, she talked about neutering him so he'd be less likely to charge the door to get out again. I asked if we could breed him with Kefira just once before she did that -- I was certain that the two of them would make silver magic. So in the fall, Beau came back to Montana with me and wooed Kefira. It took her awhile before she decided she wanted babies, but she liked hanging out with her handsome Beau. These babies are the result of their romance and the only litter Beau will sire -- Beau's Winter Gifts to us. (Baby Zane Zilar can be seen on the In Memory page.)

(Please note that you will see a number of photos of our cats and kittens that I've taken outside in a natural setting. The LostWoods cats do NOT go outside unsupervised! When we do go outside for pictures and occasional adventures, there is always one person and usually two watching them closely. We do have an outside, fully enclosed run to which the older cats are allowed access, but even then we check on them often.)
