Yesterday we turned 10 weeks old and Xaria asked us if we'd written to all of you with our introduction. Yikes! We hadn't even thought about it. We've been much too busy trying to keep up with the Wedding Gifts, Fiala, Comet, Mirek, and Brasen. That's a lot of playing and climbing and chasing. No time for writing. But Xaria was right -- we do need to introduce ourselves.

First of all, I'm Nobie. Well, my real name is Tenobia Kazadi, but lisa-mom calls me Nobie. And our two-legged brother Jeremy calls me Nobie Wan Kenobi. He thinks that's funny. I like to explore and discover new things. I've been trying to keep up with the big kittens since I was just four weeks old. I'm sure I can do anything they can. Okay, I can't jump up on the counters yet, but I've been watching them and I'll get it soon. I'm also very friendly and love to follow lisa-mom around to see what she's doing. Sometimes I help and sometimes I just watch. And now and then, I curl up on her lap for naps. She has a nice lap -- especially when she covers it up with a fleece blanket!

My sister is Alliandre, or Ali. Ali is a lot quieter than me. She's sorta like our big brother Brasen -- she likes to watch and check things out before she joins the fun. That is, except when teasers are involved. Ali loves noisy teasers and is getting pretty good at jumping after them. lisa-mom gets mad at her because she always has to butt in when lisa-mom is taking pictures of all of us. It's hard to convince Ali to stay out of the way and wait her turn. One day Ali swatted Galldrian and told him to get out of her way 'cause she wanted the teaser really bad.

Galldrian is one of my brothers. For a long time he didn't have a nickname like the rest of us. But here lately lisa-mom has been calling him Golly-mon. lisa-mom says it's like a song by someone named Jimmy Buffet. That's so funny! Did you know our grandpa's name is Jimmy Buffet? I didn't know he could sing and write songs! Galldrian loves being around people. He walks around all happy with his tail up in the air. With that white end, it looks like a white flag or something. He purrs really loud, too. And when lisa-mom gets home from work he goes running to see her, even if we are busy playing.

My other brother is Mattin. Matt is too busy to hang out with the two-legs at our house. He's got things to do -- like climbing the cat tree, chasing balls down the stairs, finding toys under the edge of the stove, jumping over the other cats, racing through the living room, wrestling with Galldrian... You get the idea. Matt is always going. He only slows down to eat and take naps so he can go some more. Our two-legged brother Justin and lisa-mom are always picking him up and telling him they are going to make a friendly kitten out of him. It's not that he's not friendly -- he doesn't mind being around people -- but he's just not interested in being held. But they hold him anyway. Then Matt gets all wiggly and says, I want down, down, DOWN! lisa-mom just laughs and holds him longer.

Well, there you go. Our introduction. We're sorry we didn't write to you before, but well, like I said, we've been busy. And now I'd better get back to the living room and see what everyone else has been up to without me. I hope I didn't miss anything.

Love,

Nobie

(Please note that you will see a number of photos of our cats and kittens that I've taken outside in a natural setting. The LostWoods cats do NOT go outside unsupervised! When we do go outside for pictures and occasional adventures, there is always one person and usually two watching them closely. We do have an outside, fully enclosed run to which the older cats are allowed access, but even then we check on them often.)
